Salomon was established in 1947 the French Alps, initially producing saw blades, although by 1957 they had introduced the world to steel ski edges and revolutionised ski bindings, creating the Allais self-release safety binding in time for the 1966 World Alpine Championships in Chile.
Expanding its range, Salomon ventured into ski boots with the SX90 in 1979, skis in the 1980s, and hiking shoes in 1992. That year, Salomon Skis also appeared in the Winter Olympics held in Albertville, just 30 miles from their original workshop in Annecy.
For the last 70 years, Salomon has been at the forefront of innovation and technical excellence within the snow sports industry. The entire brand has lived and breathed the mountains since being started up in Annecy, France.

Many of our Salomon boot models feature Boa closure with some models featuring double-boa closure. We also stock a selection of boots for junior skiers.
