The internal team at K2 Snowboarding has been dreaming of the hypnotist for a few years, and there is no better time than the present for this release. This all-new premium freestyle snowboard is built for the more advanced to expert snowboarder, transitions, on hips, and on medium to large terrain park features.

K2 leaned on their trusty tri-blend BAP core as the foundation for the Hypnotist. Added Carbon DarkWeb™ to speed up transitions from edge to edge, and new tip-to-tail Carbon Backbone™ to increase snap.

To help you spin that extra 180 degrees, reduce swingweight, and decrease chatter in the tip and tail, they replaced the tip and tail of the core with SpaceGlass™ construction, lighter and harder than wood, SpaceGlass™ puts the Hypnotist in a league all of it’s own. Finished it all off with a wax-infused 4001 Sintered Base from Crown - the hardest, fastest, base material that they offer.

• SINTERED 4001 Base - Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.
• BAP CORE - A tri-blend wood core harnesses the rebound, strength, and feel of sustainably harvested Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia timber species.
• SpaceGlass™ - An American made Aerospace grade precure fiberglass core insert used to provide unmatched structural performance at reduced weight. SpaceGlassTM inserts increase edge hold along contact points, reduce chatter, and provide unequaled durability.
• Triax Glass - A fiberglass weave intersecting at three angles provides extra torsional stiffness and overall strength.
• Carbon Darkweb™ - Carbon stringers extend at 45º angles from the inserts in an “X” pattern, adding responsiveness and stability at all speeds.
• Carbon Backbone™ - A pre-cambered carbon inlay centered between the inserts specifically designed to add snap and pop to every ollie and takeoff.
